The Setting - Taken from Goodreads
Trouble, treachery, and magic just won't stop plaguing Cat Barahal. The Master of the Wild Hunt has stolen her husband Andevai. The ruler of the Taino kingdom blames her for his mother's murder. The infamous General Camjiata insists she join his army to help defeat the cold mages who rule Europa. An enraged fire mage wants to kill her. And Cat, her cousin Bee, and her half-brother Rory, aren't even back in Europa yet, where revolution is burning up the streets.
Revolutions to plot. Enemies to crush. Handsome men to rescue.
Cat and Bee have their work cut out for them.
My Two Cents
THIS. BOOK. WAS. AWESOME. A wonderful ending to a fantasy filled trilogy. Each of the books in this Spiritwalker series get better and better. Reader be warned though, there is very little down time in Cold Steel. Cat definitely has her work cut out for her. I mean, she's carrying around a dead queen's head while fighting off dragons for crying out loud! How much more awesome-sauce could this book get? More zombies, magical creatures, political intrigue, and yes, definitely more Vai. Need I say more? I don't know how much more justice I can do for this book without spoiling it for potential readers. Lock your kids in their bedrooms and go start this series, especially if you love a good fantasy. I'm awarding Cold Steel 4.5 out of 5 stars. If it's not obvious enough... I loved this book!
