Juliette now knows she may be the only one who can stop the Reestablishment. But to take them down, she'll need the help of the one person she never thought she could trust: Warner. And as they work together, Juliette will discover that everything she thought she knew - about Warner, her abilities, and even Adam - was wrong.
My Two Cents
An end to a series! Lots of people are sad! Kleenex's are a must to say goodbye to these characters. But I think I'm more than okay to let go. I loved the action and suspense Unravel Me gave. Unfortunately, Ignite Me had little action and an overload of soap opera drama. Number one irritant: Adam. I felt Mafi completely changed his character in Ignite Me. He went from someone admirable to a pouty and MEAN twelve year old. His interactions with Juliette were abusive even. Not the loving Adam I remember from Shatter Me. I think Mafi might have tried to make a point with Adam. Adam was Juliette's first love, and she would have taken love from anyone given the state she was in. But the guy Mafi pushes us to root for, Warner, was borderline abusive as well Not to mention Mafi tries to win us over to team Warner with the addition of his huge fashionable closet...what girl wouldn't fall head over heels just for Warner's closet? Cheap trick. And the plot? Didn't even start until the last 40 pages of the book. And it wasn't much of a war. Everything seemed to go Juliette's way the first time she realized she had balls. Not the book of my dreams as you can tell. I'm awarding Ignite Me 2 out of 5 stars.
